2010 Environmental Initiative Award
for Natural Resource Protection & Restoration

Arlington-Pascal Stormwater Improvements

EOR's Arlington-Pascal Stormwater Improvement Projects were recognized with a Environmental Initiative Award from the Minnesota Environmental Initiative (MEI) for Natural Resource Protection & Restoration.

Completed for the Capitol Region Watershed District, these projects have substantially reduced the occurrence of neighborhood flooding and have improved the water quality of Como Lake.

Main project components included:
• 8 community raingardens in St. Paul's Como neighborhood
• 8 infiltration trenches located under roadways
• the largest underground storage facility used in Minnesota
• a regional stormwater pond/infiltration basin
• municipal stormdrain improvements
