Superior Public Library
Superior Public Library
EOR developed a sustainable site plan for the Superior Public Library to achieve increased greening and stormwater management on the library campus in accordance with the city's goals to increase climate resilient landscapes. The project included retrofitting two existing parking lots with the intent of reducing impervious services where possible while retaining accessible and safe access to the library and adjacent community amenities. A stormwater tree trench was added to the main parking lot to capture stormwater runoff and increase shade in the parking area.
The landscape design also features a new outdoor space for storytime and small group gatherings near the entrance to the library. Final project deliverables included bid-ready construction documents for parking lot improvements, including plans, technical specifications, and a statement of quantities and opinion of probable cost.
