As Cultural Resources & NEPA lead you will engage collaboratively across all EOR’s offices and service areas to provide cultural resources and NEPA compliance services. The ideal candidate will be able to effectively manage time and resources in a fast-paced environment with changing deadlines.
As the Cultural Resources and NEPA Lead
- Knowledge of federal and state regulations relating to historic preservation such as NEPA and/or the National Historic Preservation Act.
- Lead/Participate in related RFP vetting and response
- Oversee the survey/field review aspect of projects and make appropriate changes to methodology while in the field
- Generate service area financial reports and assess growth
- Keep current on industry trends and inform necessary personnel
- Advance the environmental, social, and economic wellbeing of communities
- Foster business development growth strategies
As an Enviro/Cultural/Regulatory Team Member
- Manage and support projects with this Team
- Conduct cultural resource inquiries, environmental planning and permitting
- Experience completing environmental assessments, regulatory reviews and applications as well as interacting with environmental regulators to advance projects through the permitting process
- Provide legal evidence guidelines, with strict attention to detail in completing forms, following procedures, and documenting work
As an Ecology Work Group Member
- Support growth and knowledge of WG staff in cultural resources and NEPA
- Coordinate and work with field crews and other office staff
- Support local, state and federal project permitting.
- Potential to assist or perform other natural resource surveys
- Oversee data entry, data analysis, and report writing.

Education/Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in archeology, anthropology, environmental policy, natural resources, or in similar fields is required
- Minimum 4 years of related experience conducting construction monitoring activities; field investigations, surveys and project studies; archaeological excavation, artifact identification and associated field work.
- Knowledgeable in federal and state regulations relating to historic preservation such as NEPA and/or the National Historic Preservation Act
- Meet the DOI’s minimum professional qualifications standards for archeology and historical preservation
- Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, specifically for preparation of technical reports and proposal writing, are required.
- High level of attention to detail.
- Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Access, SharePoint).
Education/Experiences Preferred:

Brief Description:
This position requires the ability to lead and oversee the team making financial transactions which include posting information to accounts, recording receipts and bank deposits, making disbursements, reconciling accounts, managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processing. You will be issuing timely and complete financial statements and reports and maintaining accounting records in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) andour company accounting policies. Oversight extends to the accounting operations of subsidiaries and branch offices including Canadian subsidiary. Work with the CFO to create controls and budgets designed to mitigate financial risk, while calculating and monitoring financial and operating metrics set by the CFO. Primary Responsibilities:

- Prepare and review financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) with a keen eye towards detail and accuracy

Technology & Systems Oversight

We are looking for a mid-level or senior- level hydrogeologist to work with our team of natural resources and water resources professionals.
The position will include a mixture of field work and office work. Field work responsibilities may include (depending on experience level) soils classification, groundwater sampling, monitoring well installation, groundwater level measurements, aquifer testing, construction inspection, Phase I and II environmental site assessments, and general field data recording. Office duties will include data management and data analysis using a variety of software, preparing well logs, groundwater modeling, report writing, and marketing support.
A senior level position will include opportunities for business development, project and client management, supervising others, and strategic planning.
Working at EOR will provide opportunities to collaborate and gain experience in related fields such as surface water modeling, watershed analysis, wetland permitting and restoration, and public policy issues. EOR does very little work with petroleum and hazardous waste, although HAZWOPER training and experience with underground storage tank removal, contaminated soil and groundwater sampling, and pollution remediation are a plus.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of hydrogeologist experience required
- B.A. or B.S. in geology, geological engineering, geotechnical engineering, groundwater hydrology, or related field required
- Professional Geologist (PG) or Geologist in Training (GIT) registration in Minnesota or Wisconsin. Registrations in other states are acceptable if a Minnesota/Wisconsin license can be obtained within one year
- Ability to work outdoors in variable weather conditions and on challenging terrain
- Able to carry, lift or pull equipment and materials weighing up to 40 pounds over long distance
- Possess a valid driver’s license and be able to conduct occasional field work (usually 1-2 days/week) including some overnight travel

- Lead deed research, boundary analysis, easement preparations, legal descriptions, and computing survey points
- Lead topographic and boundary surveys, ALTA/ASCM surveys, elevation certificates, volume surveys, construction staking, etc.
- Assist design team with CAD productions and base drawing set up
- Perform pre-construction staking, construction staking and as-builts
- Consult with clients, project managers, team members and site superintendents/construction crews on projects
- Complete QA/QC and redlines checks
- Coordinate and work with field crews and other office staff
- Provides strategic leadership of company surveying services.
- Assist in market development activities, such as reviewing RFPs and generating estimates and proposals
Required Qualifications
- Registered Land Surveyor Licensure in MN or ability to obtain within 6 months from date of employment
- Bachelor’s degree in land surveying or related civil engineering technology
- Minimum of 5+ years of related professional experience
- Diverse survey experience and interest (civil infrastructure, water resources, renewable energy, and land development)
- Experience with Trimble Equipment/Software
- Fluency with AutoCAD and GIS
- Passion for the environment and commitment to being an active participant in our employee-owned company is a must
Beneficial Qualifications
- Experience in project management.
- Experience in staff management.
- Unmanned Aircraft (UAS) experience and licensure

Base compensation is determined by factors such as market data, education and/or applicable experience, training, skills, and geographic location where work is performed. The salary range for this position is expected to start at $75,000. Additionally, there is the potential for an end-of-year bonus based upon company profitability.
