A person that has a passion for writing, editing, and formatting professional marketing documents and the ability to manage and maintain data-related marketing support systems. Typical weeks can be challenging with multiple deadlines and responsibilities. Primary Responsibilities
- Review opportunities and coordinate “go, no-go” process
- Work directly with marketing leadership to vet opportunities and manage the proposal calendar/schedule.
- Lead the coordination, preparation, and proposal production process
- Ensure utilization of EOR’s branding standards throughout the proposal process and related marketing collateral
- Develop compelling visual design to communicate and educate clients, the public and other stakeholders about EOR capabilities
- Provide review and quality control of proposals: edits proposal content for readability, consistency, clarity, and compliance with client requirements (using EOR branding guidelines)
- Interpret and distill highly technical information for mainstream audiences
- Maintain marketing databases
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in marketing, business development, or a similar field with 3+ years of proposal coordinator experience OR a Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business development, or a similar field with 1+ years of proposal coordinator experience
- Excellent writing, proofreading, and editing skills
- Adobe InDesign expertise
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Self-motivation and ability to thrive under pressure, while fostering a positive culture
- An eye for detail and the ability to follow EOR’s brand guidelines, while also being able to apply the same aesthetic-approach when customization or unique situations arise.
Preferred Qualifications
- Direct experience in the A&E consulting industry
- Graphic design experience and/or credentials
- English and/or technical writing experience and/or credentials
- Science/Engineering and/or Business/Communications background
- Social Media acumen

Hydrogeologist

View Position DetailsBrief Description:
We are looking for a mid-level or senior- level hydrogeologist to work with our team of natural resources and water resources professionals.
The position will include a mixture of field work and office work. Field work responsibilities may include (depending on experience level) soils classification, groundwater sampling, monitoring well installation, groundwater level measurements, aquifer testing, construction inspection, Phase I and II environmental site assessments, and general field data recording. Office duties will include data management and data analysis using a variety of software, preparing well logs, groundwater modeling, report writing, and marketing support.
A senior level position will include opportunities for business development, project and client management, supervising others, and strategic planning.
Working at EOR will provide opportunities to collaborate and gain experience in related fields such as surface water modeling, watershed analysis, wetland permitting and restoration, and public policy issues. EOR does very little work with petroleum and hazardous waste, although HAZWOPER training and experience with underground storage tank removal, contaminated soil and groundwater sampling, and pollution remediation are a plus.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of hydrogeologist experience required
- B.A. or B.S. in geology, geological engineering, geotechnical engineering, groundwater hydrology, or related field required
- Professional Geologist (PG) or Geologist in Training (GIT) registration in Minnesota or Wisconsin. Registrations in other states are acceptable if a Minnesota/Wisconsin license can be obtained within one year
- Ability to work outdoors in variable weather conditions and on challenging terrain
- Able to carry, lift or pull equipment and materials weighing up to 40 pounds over long distance
- Possess a valid driver’s license and be able to conduct occasional field work (usually 1-2 days/week) including some overnight travel
- Must be able to work effectively independently or as part of a team
- Good writing skills and basic computer skills are required
- Passion for the environment and commitment to being an active participant in our employee-owned company is a must
Preferred Qualifications
- M.S. or Ph.D. preferred
- Mining industry experience
- Geotechnical experience (Soil classifications, designing subsurface investigations, subcontracting drilling companies, interpreting geotechnical reports)

- Groundwater modeling using software such as AQTESOLV, MODFLOW (e.g., Vistas, FlowPy, ModelMuse), GFLOW, or MLAEM

View Position DetailsBrief Description:
As the lead Land Surveyor, you will join a welcoming team that embraces advanced technologies, flexible work environments and embodies environmental, social, and fiscal sustainability in everything we do.
This position will engage collaboratively across all EOR’s offices and services areas to provide land survey services. The ideal candidate will be able to effectively manage time and resources in a fast-paced environment with changing deadlines.
Essential Functions
- Research and obtain documents/data including: Gopher State One Call utility locates, section corner ties, plats, control points, benchmarks, as-built plans, zoning information, FEMA maps, aerial mapping, etc.
- Lead deed research, boundary analysis, easement preparations, legal descriptions, and computing survey points
- Lead topographic and boundary surveys, ALTA/ASCM surveys, elevation certificates, volume surveys, construction staking, etc.
- Assist design team with CAD productions and base drawing set up
- Perform pre-construction staking, construction staking and as-builts
- Consult with clients, project managers, team members and site superintendents/construction crews on projects
- Complete QA/QC and redlines checks
- Coordinate and work with field crews and other office staff
- Provides strategic leadership of company surveying services.
- Assist in market development activities, such as reviewing RFPs and generating estimates and proposals
Required Qualifications
- Registered Land Surveyor Licensure in MN or ability to obtain within 6 months from date of employment
- Bachelor’s degree in land surveying or related civil engineering technology
- Minimum of 5+ years of related professional experience
- Diverse survey experience and interest (civil infrastructure, water resources, renewable energy, and land development)
- Experience with Trimble Equipment/Software
- Fluency with AutoCAD and GIS
- Passion for the environment and commitment to being an active participant in our employee-owned company is a must
