Cultural Resource Team

Meet EOR's Cultural Resource Team

Because Protecting Cultural Resources Takes More Than One Kind of Expertise.

EOR's Cultural Resources Team is led by Meredith Anderson, a Registered Professional Archaeologist since 2010. Meredith works side-by-side with an interdisciplinary team of EOR professionals that include Water Resource and Civil Engineers, Environmental Planners, Biologists, Ecologists, and Hydrologists.  Every team member has hands-on experience with regulatory due diligence, environmental permitting, and development review.

Why an Integrated Team Makes a Difference

Cultural resources don't exist in isolation. A historic site may sit beside a wetland. A group of archaeological sites may follow a river whose course has shifted over time. A restoration project may touch land that holds deep meaning for a Tribal community.

Project Approach & Understanding:

  • We listen first.
  • We value the knowledge communities hold about their own histories.
  • We allow our depth of experience to shape how we work.
  • We view a project site holistically: a place where natural systems, human history, and community values all meet.
  • We approach every project with diligence, humility, and respect for the historic and cultural places that matter to the people connected to them.

As an Interdisciplinary Team, We Can:

  • Spot cultural resource concerns early,
while there is still time to adjust site design.
  • Coordinate environmental and cultural permitting together,
which reduces duplicate efforts and keeps reviews moving.

  • Design creative solutions
that protect important places and still meet project goals and regulatory compliance.

  • Provide a single, coordinated point of contact
    for complex, multi-agency projects.

Our Wide Range of Partners Include:

  • Public agencies and municipalities
  • Private developers and landowners
  • Federal, state, and local government agencies
  • Environmental and conservation organizations
  • Foundations and non-profit organizations
  • Native American Tribes, First Nations, and Tribal communities

EOR's Cultural Resource Services:
